What Every Business Needs to Know about 2022 Labor Law Poster Compliance

January 1 is the most popular date for cities and states to make changes to their labor laws, requiring updates to their workplace posters. Typical changes to watch for are state and city minimum wages, discrimination, OSHA and sick leave laws. These posters are mandatory postings and failure to comply could result in penalty fines. So making sure that your organization is compliant will ensure that you do not experience potential problems during an on-site audit.

At LaborLawCenter we monitor anticipated changes throughout the year and make sure that we keep a close eye on laws that we know will be added or changed. Below is a list of the upcoming mandatory labor law additions and updates by state and city that we are watching for 2022.

If your business operating in any of the states shown below, you will be required to display updated labor compliance posters by January 1, 2022. One posting is required in each office location and you will typically need to display both English and Spanish versions. Spanish is required when you have employees whose speak that as their primary language.

While poster updates can (and do) come at any point throughout the year, January 1 is usually the time to check to make sure that your business is starting the year compliant. Check here to see if your business is compliant with all of the posting requirements for the states and cities your business operates in.
