LaborLawCenter™The state of Nevada has recently announced several important mandatory updates that affect labor law posting requirements for all businesses.
The changes fall into two categories:
- Minimum Wage Rules to be Observed
- Workers’ Compensation Notice
The Minimum Wage Rules to be Observed mandatory update includes the following:
- Overtime exemption requirements for domestic workers: The Nevada Domestic Workers
Bill of Rights now includes language stating that domestic workers do not have to be paid
overtime if they reside in the home where they work and there is a written agreement in place with the employer for an exemption.

The Worker’ Compensation Notice is just as important and includes the following:
- Revisions regarding where employees can file a workers’ compensation claim
- New Font Requirements
