In March 2024 the Maine Department of Labor published a newly required “Veterans’ Benefits & Services” workplace poster providing information about resources available to military veterans.
Maine Veterans’ Benefits & Services Labor Law Poster
- Newly required poster effective March 12, 2024
- Employers with more than 50 full-time equivalent employees must display the poster in the workplace where workers can easily view it
- Poster describes important benefits and services offered to veterans including educational, workforce and training resources, eligibility for unemployment insurance benefits, ID cards, substance use and mental health treatment, tax benefits, and legal services.

Maine Labor Law Poster Update
All businesses within the state of Maine must display the new “Veterans’ Benefits & Services” poster along with other state-mandated posting requirements where they are sufficiently accessible and viewable to all employees. This change has been reflected in our Maine Labor Law Poster and requires an immediate mandatory update. Failure to meet compliance requirements and display the updated poster could result in fines.
