Oregon employers have new labor law posting requirements to address. Effective July 1, 2026, the Oregon Bureau of Labor and Industries (BOLI) released updates to several mandatory workplace posters, including changes affecting minimum wage, meal and rest breaks, agricultural workers, family leave, and sick time.
To remain compliant with Oregon labor laws, employers should replace outdated notices with the latest versions and ensure employees have access to up-to-date workplace information.
Below is a summary of the five key Oregon labor law poster updates and what they mean for employers.

2026 Oregon Labor Law Poster Updates
- Minimum Wage Poster
Oregon’s annual minimum wage increase took effect on July 1, 2026. Employers must display the updated minimum wage poster reflecting the state’s three regional wage rates:
- Portland Metro Area: $16.80 per hour
- Standard Counties: $15.55 per hour
- Nonurban Counties: $14.55 per hour
Employers should verify that the correct wage rate is posted for each business location.
- Breaks, Meals, Overtime & Paychecks Poster
The updated “Breaks, Meals, Overtime & Paychecks” poster includes several important clarifications:
- Clarifies meal and rest break timing requirements.
- Adds information about Oregon OSHA heat illness prevention rules, including additional cool-down or rest breaks that may be required during high-heat conditions.
- Directs agricultural employers to BOLI’s separate “Agricultural Workers” notice for industry-specific overtime, break, and paycheck requirements.
- Agricultural Workers Poster
The revised “Agricultural Workers” poster includes several updates:
- Updated regional minimum wage rates for agricultural employees.
- The next phase of Oregon’s agricultural overtime law, reflecting the lower overtime threshold that became effective in 2026.
- Notice that the overtime threshold will decrease to 40 hours per workweek beginning January 1, 2027.
- Additional references to Oregon OSHA’s heat illness prevention requirements.
Agricultural employers should ensure they replace prior versions of this poster to reflect these important changes.
- Family Leave (OFLA) Poster
The updated “Family Leave” poster provides greater clarity regarding employee leave rights by:
- Explaining that Oregon Family Leave Act (OFLA) leave is separate from Paid Leave Oregon benefits.
- Simplifying employee eligibility requirements.
- Reorganizing information to make qualifying leave reasons easier to understand.
While the underlying law has not changed significantly, employers are still required to display the current poster.
- Sick Time Poster
The revised “Sick Time” poster reflects an expansion of permitted uses for accrued sick time, specifically adding blood donation as a qualifying reason.
