1. City of San Francisco Minimum Wage Notice

- Effective July 1, 2018, the minimum wage for San Francisco is $15.00 per hour. The city mandates that their specific minimum wage poster, which reflects their minimum wage rate, be posted at the workplace in an area easily accessible by employees.

2. San Francisco Paid Sick Leave Notice

- All employers must provide paid sick leave to each employee (including temporary and part-time employees), who performs work in San Francisco. A notice must be posted where employees can easily access it.

3. Health Care Security Ordinance (HCSO)

- San Francisco employers are required to spend a minimum amount of money each quarter on their covered employees’ health care. Effective January 1, 2012, businesses must post this notice at the workplace.

4. San Francisco Family-Friendly Work Ordinance (FFWO) Law

- Employees are allowed to request scheduled accommodations to fit family needs. Employers with 20 or more employees must comply and post this notice.

5. San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinance (“Ban the Box”)

- Effective August 13, 2014, employers and private contractors in San Francisco are not allowed to inquire or consider certain criminal offenses when making hiring and personnel decisions. As part of the law, employers and private contractors are required to display a notice at the workplace informing employees and potential applicants of their rights under this law.

6. San Francisco Paid Parental Leave Ordinance (PPL)

- If you take time off work to bond with a new child, you may be eligible for SF Paid Parental Leave supplemental compensation from your employer, in addition to your weekly benefit from the California Paid Family Leave program.
