The San Diego City Labor Law Poster includes the San Diego Minimum Wage Poster along with the San Diego Earned Sick Leave Notice. The stipulation regarding these posters is that employers must post these mandated posters in a visible location so all employees have access to this important information.

The San Diego Minimum Wage Poster, states the minimum wage of $11.50 per hour, as of January 1, 2017. In addition, it discusses the law as it pertains to the illegality of employer retaliation and gives contact information if an employee feels their employer is not abiding by this minimum wage law. The San Diego Earned Sick Leave Law, which is also detailed on this poster, is also effective January 1, 2017.  This law involves the necessity of paying sick leave to employees when that employee meets certain criteria. If an employee works 2 or more hours in a work week this law pertains to them and accrual information is detailed on this poster.

Both the Minimum Wage law and the Earned Sick Leave law apply to individuals who work within the City of San Diego’s geographic boundaries.
