Kentucky Discrimination Poster Update

The Commonwealth of Kentucky released a mandatory update to the Kentucky Discrimination Poster. All businesses in Kentucky must display this updated poster or face fines.

The new notice informs employees about their rights according to the Kentucky Pregnant Workers Act (which goes into effect on June 27th, 2019) and prohibits discrimination relating to pregnancy.

According to the new law, employers must make accommodations including: childbirth recovery time, frequent or longer breaks, lighter duties or job schedule, a place to express milk (that isn’t a bathroom), and more.

This poster must be displayed in a conspicuous place for all employees to access.

Notice Date: 5/2019
Suggested Post Date: 6/27/2019
