  • The Sick and Safe Time Law notice provides information concerning the paid time off which is available to all full- and part-time workers of employers with 5 or more employees. Employees may take paid time off to care for themselves or a family member due to a physical or mental health condition or illness, to attend a doctor’s appointment or to seek preventative care, or to care for themselves, a family member, or a roommate for reasons related to domestic violence, sexual assault, or stalking. Employers cannot retaliate against workers for using such time off. The law goes into effect on January 1, 2020.
