Like other forms of harassment, sexual harassment is not only illegal, but it can cause severe morale problems in the workplace. And victims are not the only ones affected – employers themselves suffer negative consequences as victims are more frequently absent &/or resign from their jobs. Federal law prohibits sexual harassment in the workplace and several states now require periodic mandatory training for employees and supervisors.
