Federal State Mandatory Updates

  • 02/2013 - Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) - Amendment expands the military family leave provisions and incorporates a special eligibility provision for airline flight crew employees, as well as making some additional regulatory changes.
  • Minimum Wage (Minnesota Statutes 177.31) As mandated by Minnesota law, all employees are entitled to overtime and minimum wage standards. Employers are required to inform employees of such rights, and provide the regulatory postings in a conspicuous location, summarizing all information contained within minimum wage laws (including the amount and associated rules). Be aware that the commissioner may fine you up to $200 for each failure to comply with this law.
