In July 2022, Workforce West Virginia, a Division of the West Virginia Department of Commerce, published a revised Notice To Employees – Unemployment Benefits poster providing information about new office locations and benefit rates.
West Virginia Unemployment Benefits Law Update
- New claims office locations in Putnam and Greenbrier Valley
- Revised benefit claim table includes benefit rates for wages from $40,150 to $59,650
- New wage classes are effective July 1, 2022
West Virginia Labor Law Poster Update
All businesses within the State of West Virginia must display the new Notice to Employees – Unemployment Benefits poster along with other state-mandated posting requirements where it is sufficiently accessible and viewable to all employees. This change has been reflected in our West Virginia & Federal Labor Law Poster and does require an immediate mandatory update. Failure to meet compliance requirements and display the updated poster could result in fines.
