The North Carolina Department of Labor published a revised Wage and Hour Notice to Employees in October 2021.
North Carolina Wage and Hour Update
- Employers must notify employees in writing of any reduction in the rate of promised wages at least one pay period prior to such change.
North Carolina Labor Law Poster Update
All businesses within the State of North Carolina must display the Wage and Hour Notice to Employees poster along with other state-mandated posting requirements where it is sufficiently accessible and viewable to all employees. This change has been reflected in our North Carolina & Federal Labor Law Poster and does require an immediate mandatory update. Failure to meet compliance requirements and display the updated poster could result in fines.
