New York Time Off to Vote Poster Update

A new poster update has been released by the state of New York. All businesses in New York
must display this new poster or face fines.

The new notice lets employees know that all registered voters may take off for up to 3 hours
without loss of pay to vote on Election Day. Employees must let their manager know two days
before voting day and may take time off at the beginning or end of their shift.

All employers are required to provide this notice to employees in a conspicuous place at least
10 days before any Election Day and failure to do so could result in fines. The notice must
remain up until the polls close on Election Day.

Notice Date: 4/2019
Suggested Post Date: 6/15/2019
