In December 2021, the Louisiana Workforce Commission published a revised Independent Contractor or Employee poster to include new contact information and increased fines for misclassification.

- New phone number and email address
- Fines for misclassified employees increased to $2,500 per instance
Louisiana Labor Law Poster Update
All businesses within the State of Louisiana must display the revised Independent Contractor or Employee notice along with other state-mandated posting requirements where it is sufficiently accessible and viewable to all employees. This change has been reflected in our Louisiana & Federal Labor Law Poster and does require an immediate mandatory update.
