Florida Mandatory Update: Minimum Wage

The state of Florida has announced a mandatory update regarding minimum wage that affects labor law posting requirements for businesses of all sizes and industries.

The changes are as follows:

  • New minimum wage rate of $8.46/hour, effective January 1, 2019
  • New minimum wage for tipped employees of $5.44/hour, effective January 1, 2019

Notice Date: October 16, 2018
With the changes set to take effect on January 1, 2019, all Florida employers are required to update their labor law posters accordingly.
