Product Specifications:
Vermont has had the Clean Indoor Air Act in place since 1993. This Act helps to limit exposure to secondhand smoke by prohibiting smoking in the workplace. According to the Act, employees are not allowed to smoke within the workplace. However, they may smoke in designated smoking areas outside of the workplace as long as those areas are away from doors and windows.
Ensure that your employees are aware of the Vermont Clean Indoor Air Act and how it impacts them by posting the Vermont No Smoking poster in a clearly visible area of the workplace, such as an employee break room. Employers are required to inform their employees of the laws that impact them in order to stay compliant with the laws.
