All restaurants are required to adhere to certain health and safety regulations, including regulations regarding employee behavior, cleanliness, kitchen layout, food preparation, and clean-up procedures. Many of these restaurant-related laws and regulations are established and enforced by OSHA, which is an organization that can make periodical and unexpected visits to a restaurant in order to examine whether health and safety regulations are being followed.
This Restaurant Food Safety Set is complete with seven (7) important posters that will help to reinforce the importance of safety in the workplace. These posters serve as a regular reminder to employees about best practices for kitchen safety that they should have learned during employee training periods. Restaurant owners may wish to have their unique health and safety procedures approved by OSHA prior to training employees in order to ensure that restaurants are compliant with appropriate regulations.
The posters in the Restaurant Food Safety Kit include tips for serving and storing food, performing expected first in/first out duties, cooking food at the proper temperature, and more. They should be displayed in the appropriate area of the kitchen, food preparation, and storage areas to provide a quick reference and reminder to employees on an ongoing basis.
Because these posters are laminated on the front and back, they are easy to clean and will not become easily damaged or stained when placed in the kitchen area. They are also printed in full color with graphics so that they are visually appealing and easy to understand.

- 05/2023 - Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) - Federal Minimum Wage - Revised the Nursing Mothers section of the poster with the PUMP for Nursing Mothers Act (PUMP Act) and more clarification on employer requirements to provide reasonable break time and accommodations for nursing employees.
