New York Minimum Wage Poster

Governor Cuomo signed legislation enacting a statewide $15 minimum wage increase as part of the 2016-2017 state budget.  The Minimum Wage rates are scheduled to increase each year on December 31st until they reach $15.00 per hour.

The first series of wage increases went into effect on December 31, 2016, and rates will differ based on region and industry. Here’s a general breakdown:

Minimum wages are also broken out by geographic area and general industry and are different for the following industries:
