In November 2021, the New Jersey Division on Civil Rights published an updated notice regarding the New Jersey Family Leave Act.
New Jersey Family Leave Act Update
- Leave entitlement revised to include to care for a family member or someone with COVID-19, and to provide care or treatment for a child during a state of emergency if their school or place of care is closed due to an epidemic including COVID-19 added.
- New main phone number and QR code added.
New Jersey Labor Law Poster Update
All businesses within the State of New Jersey must post the New Jersey Family Leave Act Notice along with other state-mandated posting requirements where it is sufficiently accessible and viewable to all employees. This change has been reflected in our New Jersey & Federal Labor Law Poster and does require an immediate mandatory update. Failure to meet compliance requirements and display the updated poster could result in fines.
