Arizona Department of Labor

The State of Arizona has, like all other states, has a Labor Department.  This department is known as the Industrial Commission of Arizona.  The mission of the Commission is simple:  resolution of wage disputes, enforcing child labor laws and the licensing of private employment agencies that charge fees to applicants.

On the public web site, you can find state-specific information relating to the above mentioned topics as well as a variety of statistical information relating to claims filed with the Commission.  Should you need to file a claim or obtain insurance and tax forms, the site allows you to download all the necessary forms and filing instructions.  Simply click on the form you need, fill it out and mail it to specified address.

If you are looking for legal information regarding workers’ compensation rules and laws, the site offers links to Arizona’s Legislative web site and the Secretary of State’s web site.  Once there, you can search for the information you are looking for.

The Commission is very forthcoming with contact information.  If you need to place a call, you can easily obtain contact names and telephone numbers for the various divisions within the Industrial Commission of Arizona.  In all, this web site is very basic.  I’ll be checking back periodically to see if any additional resources are made available to the citizens of Arizona.
