As of December 7, 2007, employees are not allowed to smoke in their places of work throughout the state of Ohio. The Ohio Smoke Free Indoor Air Act is an Ohio Act that prohibits indoor smoking and mandates that smokers must stay outside in designated smoking areas that are away from doors and windows.

As an employer, it is important to post information about the Ohio Smoke Free Indoor Air Act so that employees are aware of their rights and of the laws that impact them in the workplace.
