Any Industry, business, or establishment operating for the purpose of canning soups, or of cookings, canning, curing, freezing, pickling, salting, bottling, preserving, or otherwise processing any fruits or vegetables, seafood, meat, poultry, or rabbit products, when the purpose of such processing is the preservation of the product and includes all operations incidental thereto.

The Industrial Welfare Commission is a California State Agency whose primary purpose is to ascertain the wages paid to all employees in the state of California, to ascertain the hours and conditions of labor and employment in the various occupations, trades and industries in which employees are employed in this state, and to investigate the health, safety and welfare of those employees. The Industrial Welfare Commission has mandated that specific wage orders be posted, in the workplace, to inform employees of their wage and hour rights. These wage orders are known as IWC Postings or IWC Wage Orders. It is broken into 17 different categories. The poster is a mandatory poster that must be posted next to the State and Federal labor laws.
