Wyoming ( WY ) Labor Law Quick Facts:

The Wyoming minimum wage remains $5.15 per hour or $2.13 per hour for tipped employees. However, effective July 24, 2008 most workers are entitled to $6.55 per hour under the federal minimum wage law. Most workers must be paid overtime after 40 hours under federal, not state, law. Employees who resign or are fired must receive a final paycheck, which includes payment for all accrued vacation time, within 5 days. Wisconsin does not require work permits for employees under 16, but the hours of employment are restricted. Employers can make deductions to wages for loans, shortages, damages and for other reasons.*
