On August 25th, the National Labor Relations Board released a final notice that now requires employers to post an Employee Rights Notice or NLRA Notice. The posting deadline will be November 14, 2011 but posters are expected in prior to the deadline. The posting requirement applies to all private-sector employers (including labor unions) subject to the National Labor Relations Act, which excludes agricultural, railroad and airline employers.
Content of the notice basically explains an employee’s right to unionize. Because NLRA rights apply to union and non-union workplaces, employers that do not have a union, aside from USPS, will need to post the notice.
LaborLawCenter took the opportunity to reorganize a better solution to help businesses stay in compliance with State, Federal, OSHA and now the NLRA 11” x 17” mandatory posting.
We are proud to now introduce the new Complete Labor Law Poster concept in which we will be adding on the new NLRA notice along with other mandatory OSHA posting requirements. How are we doing this? Simple! LaborLawCenter™ will now be offering the Complete Labor Law and OSHA Poster at no additional cost. Customers will receive the State and Federal combined poster that will have the New NLRA and a separate OSHA Complete poster that will have all OSHA Required postings! OSHA has mandatory and non-mandatory posters so we are now creating that on its own and shipping it with all Complete poster orders for FULL compliance! It’s another way we are simplifying compliance!
