California's
Workers'
Compensation Update
The update is considered mandatory.
Effective October 8, 2010 California will put in effect its amended workers’ compensation law which revises the
posting requirements, workers’ compensation handout, and injury report form. Failure to provide current information to employees can lead to loss of medical control, civil penalties of
up to $7,000.00 for each violation of the posting requirement, and the tolling of the statute of limitations for filing claims.
LaborLawCenter™ is
doing an early release of our 2011 California Labor Law
Poster in October to meet the deadline of the amended
law. The new design and updated content will include
the updated workers’ compensation posting, CALOSHA, and
Withholding Notice. Recent Federal updates include the
GINA update.
