Pennsylvania ( PA ) Labor Law Quick Facts:
Pennsylvania’s two-tiered minimum wage requires most employers to pay at least $7.15 per hour. However, an employer with fewer than 10 full-time employees may pay $6.65 per hour. The Pennsylvania minimum wage for tipped employees is $2.83 per hour. Employees under 20 may be paid a training wage of $5.85 per hour for the first 60 days. Every worker between 14 and 18 needs a work permit. Most workers are entitled to 12 weeks of unpaid, job-protected leave under the federal FMLA, as Pennsylvania has no state family leave law.*
