The State of Tennessee Department of Labor and Workforce Development Division of Employment Security require that employers provide employees with this Separation Notice whenever an employee has been separated from work either temporarily or permanently. The form should be given to the employee within 24 hours of the separation, but they do not have to be given to employees that have been employed for less than a week or to employees that will be recalled to work within 7 days.
