| Description The Labor Law Center has compiled the Forklift Safety Kit as a way for businesses that operate forklifts to train, evaluate, and remind forklift operators of the procedures and safety requirements necessary to operate a forklift. This kit includes the poster 10 Steps to Forklift Safety, a Forklift Operator Checklist, a Checklist for Powered Industrial Trucks, and a Forklift Performance Test for use after forklift operations training. Each of these checklists, tests, and posters is fully compliant with OSHA guidelines for proper forklift operations and helps to ensure that the workplace stays safe when there is a forklift in use. Remember: in order for employees to operate forklifts, they need to be properly trained by a qualified professional. The training should include information about how to evaluate a malfunctioning forklift and when to take the forklift in for maintenance so that the workplace can stay as safe and healthy as possible
