Idaho ( ID ) Labor Law Quick Facts:

The Idaho minimum wage increases from $6.55 to $7.25 per hour with the federal minimum wage on July 24, 2009. By statute, the state minimum wage cannot be lower than the federal minimum wage. The maximum tip credit for employer’s also increases, to $3.90 per hour, so the minimum wage for tipped employees remains frozen at $3.35 per hour, provided they average at least $7.25 per hour in tips plus wages. The Idaho minimum wage for new hires under the age of 20 is $4.25 per hour, for the first 90 days. Employees must be at least 14 years of age to work in most jobs excluding agriculture.*
