Connecticut ( CT ) Labor Law Quick Facts:

The Connecticut state minimum wage is $7.65 per hour, with overtime required after 40 hours. In restaurants and hotel restaurants only, employers must pay overtime for the seventh consecutive day of work. OSHA handles worker safety for private employers in the state, while state and local governments are under the jurisdiction of Conn-OSHA. The 2007 Stop Work Order Law makes it a felony for an employer to misrepresent an employee as an independent contractor.*
