Vermont ( VT ) Labor Law Quick Facts:
Effective January 1, 2009 the Vermont minimum wage increases from $7.68
to $8.06 per hour. The Vermont minimum wage for tipped employees increases
from $3.72 to $3.91 per hour. Under Vermont law, minors aged 14 and
15 years old cannot be employed more than 3 hours on a school day, more
than 8 hours on a non-school day, or more than 18 hours per week when
school is in session. An employee who has been discharged must be paid
within 72 hours.*
