Arkansas ( AR ) Labor Law Quick Facts:

The Arkansas state minimum wage is $6.25 per hour, with overtime after 40 hours. Employees must be paid for any breaks less than 20 minutes. Under Arkansas law, workers who are fired must receive their final paycheck within 7 days, while employees who resign can be paid on the next regular payday. Arkansas is a “right to work” state, meaning applicants cannot be denied a job because they are – or are not—members of a union.*
