The City of Santa Fe has its own minimum wage aside from the State of New Mexico and the Federal government. Effective January 1, 2009, the minimum wage for the city of Santa Fe will be adjusted upward by an amount corresponding to the previous year's increase, if any, in the consumer price index for the western region for urban wage earners and clerical workers.  The City of Santa Fe mandates the Living Wage Ordinance poster be posted at the workplace in an area easily accessible to employees.
