Arizona ( AZ ) Labor Law Quick Facts:
On January 1, 2009, the Arizona minimum wage increases from $6.90 to $7.25 per hour. The Arizona minimum wage increases each year based on a cost-of-living formula, and it applies to all employees including part-time, seasonal and temporary workers. Most employees must be paid at least twice per month. The Arizona youth employment laws limit the hours that young people under the age of 16 can work, to a maximum of 18 hours per week when school is in session and 3 hours on school days.*
