Effective July 24, 2008 the Nebraska minimum wage is $6.55 per hour. It applies to employers with 4 or more workers. Employees under 20 may be paid a training wage of 75% of the minimum wage for the first 90 consecutive days of employment, according to Nebraska Workforce Development. Overtime must be paid after 40 hours under federal law, rather than state law.
