Labor Law Quick Facts:
The Idaho minimum wage, which increases with the federal
rate, is $5.85 per hour. Employees are entitled to overtime
after 40 hours under federal law. However, the state
rate for tipped employees is frozen at $3.35 per hour.
A terminated employee who makes a written request for
early payment of wages must receive the final paycheck
within 48 hours, not counting weekends and holidays.
Employees in Idaho are entitled to 12 weeks of unpaid,
job-protected leave under the federal FMLA.*
