Labor Law Quick Facts:
The 2008 Oregon minimum wage is $7.95 per hour. Oregon
is one of 7 states that require tipped workers to be
paid the full minimum wage. All employees are entitled
to overtime after 40 hours and a 30-minute meal break
on shifts of 6 to 8 hours. The state family leave law
applies to employees who have worked at least 6 months.
A special state law protects the employment rights of
victims of domestic violence.*
