Labor Law Quick Facts:
Kansas has the lowest state minimum wage in the nation,
at $2.65 per hour. State law requires overtime after
46 hours per week. Most employees are entitled to $5.85
per hour, and overtime after 40 hours, under federal
law. The Kansas Human Rights Commission enforces state
laws against discrimination, including bias based on
race, religion, color, sex, national ancestry, family
status or age. The state Child Labor Laws limit work
hours for young people aged 14 and 15.*
